SOFFA is the Social Fashion Factory that provides for the livelihoods of refugees and survivors victims of human trafficking through integration into work and micro-entrepreneurism in the field of ethical and sustainable fashion business. SOFFA recruits the survivors of human trafficking through the collaboration with NGO Organization N2 who rescues them from the streets. Also through the Refergon platform seeks to employ refugees with work experience in the field of clothing and fashion.
SOFFA aims to remedy the crucial problems caused to the environment and humanity by the fashion industry being the 2nd polluter of the environment after oil industry and the 2nd in modern slavery with 21 million people victims of forced labor, especially women and children. They produce made to order customized sneakers, clothes, uniforms and accessories for their customers and only from natural, man-made or recycled biodegradable materials certified and Fair Traded.
SOFFA offers training on how to be an ethical and sustainable fashion entrepreneur through SOFE HUB, an on-line educational program across five European countries (Greece, Poland, Spain, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom).They also offer access to machinery and sustainable materials. Being the founding board of Fashion Revolution Greece, they train the ethical consumer of tomorrow through various activities.
SOFFA is the result of co-creation with survivors, refugees, NGO’s, fashion designers and professionals.
