Mission:
ACRA is committed to remove poverty through market-based solutions with high social and economic impact. In its development work ACRA creates and strengthens social enterprise ventures as powerful agents of change. ACRA builds learning corridors among Regions, facilitating the scaling up of social enterprises across geographies.
Main activities:
ACRA is an italian NGO founded in 1968 that works in 15 countries across 4 continents in areas such as Education, Water, Energy and Food.

Between 2013 and 2015 ACRA worked on the MygranTour project, where migrants acted as tour guides of the cities here they live in (Florence, Genoa, Lisbon, Marseille, Milan, Paris, Rome and Valencia), offering to tourists the chance to explore the city from a different perspective, including historical sites and neighborhoods that have renewed their identity thanks to the interconnection with different cultures, languages, products, foods and expressions art.
Main beneficiary group(s):
ACRA activities benefit the citizens of the countries where the foundation operates: ACRA is currently working on 67 projects that benefit over 400.000 individuals.

The MygranTour project, in particular, trained 180 nationals of third countries citizens as “migrant guides”, with hundreds of tourist participating to the guided tours
